Rally together against hate.

In response to the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) - an almost $400 billion investment in climate and energy-related projects - the Hive Fund for Climate and Gender Justice launched a pilot initiative in partnership with organizations serving Northeast Houston to support equitable implementation of the IRA to meet community-identified projects that would increase resilience and energy efficiency, access to affordable clean energy, and equitable and clean mobility.

How Houston in Action Supports

Convening relevant organizations & community stakeholders, facilitating the creation of LGBTQ+ Campaign priorities determined by this LGBTQ+ Organizing Working Group, coordinating action items towards accomplishing group goal(s).

Members’ roles

Because of the on-going community organizing and power-building efforts of NEHC members, high-impact community-initiated projects have emerged as central drivers for the collective work of NEHC. NEHC members have crafted a vision aimed at addressing communities most impacted by environmental discrimination. The NEHC is currently not open to new members.
